That has queer people but the queerness is not a main thing

I noticed that there is a lot of books where if the protagonist is queer, the whole story has to be around their queerness/struggles about being queer. I need a novel with queer protagonist that doesn’t revolve around their queerness, it’s just there. I want to connect but I don’t want to read another sad story about being queer.
Also please, not for teenagers/ not a graphic novel.
