21 year old who never reads anything

Hello Reddit. I’m a college student who never really cared about reading books but now I am looking for some suggestions. looking for a poetic and interesting/inspiring book for a guy who is into lots of dark music and horror films. I like books that are also movies, I’ve read part of fear and loathing in Las Vegas. The book doesn’t need to be anything horror related. Hopefully something that can help expand my vocabulary and give me that weird feeling you get watching an unsettling movie, kind of like the movie “the shining.” Any suggestions for what I can read when I don’t have classes?
