There are so so so many subjects I want to read/learn more about. Feminism, maths, art history, etc etc etc. And there are so so so many books I have picked up for each. The problem, however, is that all such books seem to be either targeted to extreme beginners or are textbooks targeted to experts in the field. I keep looking for suggestions in posts on this sub, and they too always land on these two categories

Like I want something that is accessible but understands that I already have information on this topic. I don't want maths books that explain what a sine wave is or maths book that universities use as textbooks. Somewhere in between, where I can come out of it with new info but in an accessible non-dense way

A good example of this is the feminist book Invisible Women by Caroline Criado-Perez. While it does talk about feministic ideas, it doesn't act like readers don't know what patriarchy is, which I have read one too many feminist books that do, and they aren't for me, I am aware of the basics

(To clarify, I don't mean I need suggestions of those topics only, they can teach any topic, just intermediately)
