Something like Anna Kavan’s Ice

As title suggests, I loved this story! What stuck out to me most was this overbearing sense of anxiety relating to the events of the world that almost acted as a main character of its own. I’d like some recommendations for short stories or novels that create an anxious atmosphere! Thank you 🙂
