Hello, was hoping a few of you might be well-read on the Nine Years War (1593-1603) and have suggestions for reasonably easy to read texts. I gather there's an awful lot of stuff written about it so I'd love a good starting point. I'm not entirely stupid but please do assume no prior knowledge because what I do have is patchy at best. Also anything about the time period directly before would be greatly appreciated for the same reason. Thanks!
