Weird one but does anyone have any suggestions for books set in Norfolk? Especially horror books or books with darker themes.
I feel like Norfolk is under-utilised as a horror setting, the flat plains really lend themselves to feelings of being watched and self-discovery and there aren’t many big cities there.
Waterlands by Graham Swift and the film Possum made me think of this. Both excellent and creepy, and make such good use of the setting. Grey overcast skies and watery lands.
