looking for a fiction book (or a memoir, maybe) that is akin to Miranda July or the novels Big Swiss, or Interesting Facts About Space. Women centered, a bit queer, weird, and cannot stop thinking about them.
Since you liked Interesting Facts About Space, have you read Everybody in this Room Will Someday Be Dead? It’s also by Emily R Austin. She also has We Could Be Rats coming out next year.
If you like graphic novels, Kabi Nagata’s work has very similar vibes. My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is her first book. It’s a memoir about visiting a lesbian brothel in the hopes of helping her crippling social anxiety. Kinda sad, kinda funny and a lot of weird.
