I’m currently finishing project Hail Mary. I mostly listen to books while working but also love physical books. I have been going between genres usually not doing the same in a row if not in a series. I love long books with interesting world building and or deep character studies.
Recent books I have listened to/ read
Starting with most recent
-Project Hail Mary (love)
- a good girls guide to murder series (very interesting)
-lessons in chemistry (loved)
-the hunger games (relisten one of my favourite childhood books)
-shadow and bone (only first one, was ok)
-children of time series (loved)
- godkiller series (interesting but not as deep as wished at some points)
-ninth house series (weird but in a very good way)
-the Martian ( so interesting and fun)
-she who became the sun series ( fucked me up but loved it the whole way)
- world war z (my beloved, the one zombie media i have liked for now)
Other stuff i have read but less recent and love
-asoiaf (love)
-you let me in (a great use of fey)
-what moves the dead (a retelling I fell so deeply for)
So I’m happy for any suggestion that someone feels real passion for. I also like more scholarly literature and history even if it might not fully be represented on this list. I’m new here and on phone so hope this is ok. I use audible if that’s relevant(however in my country it seems to have a lot less than in others)
