Looking for something new to get my teeth into, even better if it’s a series to keep me going.
Have read everything by Wilbur Smith, and have just finished the Brigandshaw Chronicles by Peter Rimmer. Loved the earlier books in these series with people first travelling to Africa with very little (European) exploration having been done. Also enjoyed the descriptions in Smith’s Egypt series when they travelled south into Africa and saw some of the wildlife for the first time.
Ken Follett’s Pillars series was also enjoyable, though prefer the adventure side of exploration more than just the travelling around civilised areas.
If anyone has any suggestions, let me hear them!
