I really like stories of people forming close bonds, usually in intense/survival situations. Fiction and nonfiction are fine. Some examples of this I’ve read this year include City of Thieves by David Benioff, Into the Abyss by Carol Shaben, and American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. I would especially love recommendations set in an apocalypse or war, but any sort of disaster/scenario is fine.
