Hello all! I am on the look out for some Fall book recommendations. I typically enjoy reading classics and dystopians, although I always carve out October to read horrors, thrillers, crime… you know the drill. This year I am going to start my eerie reading in September and want to extend beyond my comfort zone. I have liked more mainstream horrors like The Final Girl Support Club and My Heart is a Chainsaw. I have enjoyed apocalyptic books or scary dystopians. This year I want some book recs that extend beyond the typical google search. Here's what I really enjoy in a book if anyone has any suitable recs.
-Twists! Some twists get me so good they bring me to tears, I go crazy for a good twist.
-
Cliche tropes. Obvious enemies to lovers? Count me in. Forced proximity? I'm there. New stranger in town? Hunter turns hunted? Yes and Yes.
-
Taboo topics. I'd love a rec that I'd be embarrassed to tell people I'm reading.
Okay, if any one has a book they feel the need to recommend, I'm all ears. Thanks!
