I have very recently realised the I am a narcissist. Oddly enough this is the first time I have felt proper empathy for myself. It was like a weight lifted off. The word itself was always triggering but now I kind of understand how unaware a narcissist really can be, how clueless I have been. And then I stumbled upon Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene. I read the chapter about narcissists and I kind of connected.
So. I am looking for a book/s that can make me understand the topic, in a neutral way and can teach me about empathy. I understand that practicing empathy is the only true path but a deeper look into both the traits might help me be aware of when I'm being a narcissist and how can I take action to change that.
I would appreciate a book that does go too much into the technical jargon but enough for me to get the point. Also I'd prefer that it doesn't give selective/extreme examples like Robert Greene gives in his book Laws of Human Nature. Something like in day to day lives of regular people.
Thanks.
