I need helping finding some books that will get me out of the slump. I want to read something at sea like Fable. I want those dramatic storm scenes that are gut wrenching because they're written so well. I want something that'll make me yell out like in Fourth Wing when Violet produced lightning. I want a really good "who did this to you vibe". I want something that will make me sob like the end of A Court of Silver Flames. I want something compelling. I want something captivating.

I know I'm asking a lot but it's been months since I've reading something that good and I'm desperate for something that will destroy me but at the same time will finally get me out of this awful slump.

I like YA ish fantasy, steamy/slowburn romance, some scifi, I loved actoar but faes aren't my favorite, and slow beginnings are the bane of my existence. I kind of want something that will "break" me but in the process, remind me of why I love reading. Please help.

Here's a list of some books I have but haven't felt up to reading them yet so please let me know if any of these will be what I want (reccs don't have to be a mix of genres like a lot of these are):

Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland

    Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli

    Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle Jensen

The Wren in the Holly Library by K. A. Linde

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson

The Grace Year by Kim Liggett

The Night Ends With Fire by K. X. Song

    Artemis by Andy Weir

    by Penguinthor
