My group of friends has a book club. It is my suggestion coming up next month. Each person has picked something in their wheelhouse to encourage diversity and get others to read outside their "safe" genres.The catch is the book has to be around 80k-120k words, a standalone , and something the chooser has never read.
Past favorites include Count of Monte Cristo, crime and punishment, hitchhikers guide, The Fall, the stranger, dune, clockwork orange.
If anyone has read something in a similar vein but fitting the word count, I'd love to hear it!
