I'm a sucker for books with long-winded descriptions of the scenery, the feelings, and the psyche of a character; those that describe the harshness of bark or the soothing feeling of water, or the turmoil and inner dilemmas of a person are the best for me. The plot may be aimless or play a lesser role.
