Recently I’ve been watching a show that I’ve been enjoying so much and I’d wondered whether it was based on a book because the story had potential to make for an interesting novel. Unfortunately, the show doesn’t seem to be based on any known novel that I could find -though I’m sure aspects of it were inspired by many various media works.

To put it simply while also describing enough to give detail:

The story followed the life of a woman – who as she grows up – works hard to make an elaborate revenge scheme on a politically corrupt family of people in charge of a small town, who’ve wronged her and her family in severe ways.

Since a lot of time passed since the extreme events of the family’s doing, this character, while hardened by the things that have happened goes about her plan in a very justice seeking, yet cunning and meticulous way to gain their trust under an alias identity that secures her way into their life to enact her plans carefully undercover. It definitely doesn’t prove to be easy but that never stops her. Since she was a child at the time of their deeds, and they didn’t have a clear frame of reference to properly know of her in the past despite what they planned against her and the parent’s (who were their main target).

What makes this show a great potential book in which is reason why I’d like to read something alike if there is anything that is recommended, is for the reasons that:

    • The revenge plot is slow but gains satisfactory results overtime helping reveal several unexpected plot-twists that I suppose are typical telenovela style, but would still be interesting to be explored in novel format (the aspects of telenovela theatrics would be thrilling to have in a story since I haven’t read anything with that format) .

    • One of the antagonists is unintentionally hilarious and melodramatic, with witty one-liners while at the same time being extremely evil, posing as an extreme challenge to the main character.

    • The main character is very witty, confident, stylish, smart, business savvy and as a lone character has an immense amount of emotional strength and resilience.

    • There’s a cute side love story to it that doesn’t take up too much of the plot, but keeps aspects of the story feel good without being too invasive to overall events, which are often intense. So it the romance balances everything out.

    • The complexity of additional characters being later revealed and posing major changes in adding layers that make you realise that all along nothing was as it seemed.

Those are aspects of what would appeal to me in a book recommendation. I hope my description was helpful. I also hope others who may feel interested gain from the recommendations as well. If more detail is needed, I’ll happily reply additional information if I haven’t stated enough (believe me I kept all that as brief possible, so I understand if there’s details missing, LOL).
