Recently got through Seishi Yokomizo’s The Honjin Murders. Found it to be a good, fun read that should square well with your interests, though it is a bit more light hearted than the typical Holmes type story.

I’m currently reading **The Fifth Heart** by *Dan Simmons* with Sherlock Holmes and Henry James as the protagonists, investigating the suicide of Clover Adams, wife of historian Henry Adams.
There’s also **The Alienist** by *Caleb Carr* which is set in early 20th century NY.
