My dad is going to be spending the next few weeks in a rehab facility due to cancer and other health issues. I remember years ago, he really enjoyed Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods. He laughed out loud. Do you have any suggestions that are not necessarily about hiking but maybe nature or the wild with the same humorous lighthearted writing style?
(He loves fishing, outdoors, the cajun culture, Appalachia, cooking, old westerns, country music . .just as a basis on books he might enjoy.)
Well written, engaging, and light hearted to help him "escape" from his surroundings for a few weeks.
