Suggest me a book about a protagonist pretending to be an underdog
Maybe they are hiding their true potential or identity for some reason. Maybe they are manipulative or on a secret mission where they need to pretend they are at an disadvantage and come from nothing.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is a great fit.
The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie.
Poor Logen Ninefingers, such a coward. Always bullied and pushed around.
Until he isn’t.
