Please don’t do the "This one but she’s bisexual—“ I want a CONFIRMED LESBIAN main character please.
Even better if she calls herself that.
Any genre but strictly romance, preferably the romance is only a subplot or none there at all.

Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir.
It’s a closed circle murder mystery involving lesbian necromancers in space.
These all have lesbian protagonists:
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir — Sci-fi fantasy novel that begins the Locked Tomb series. Essentially no romance, other than a little flirting. The protagonist has fallen in love by the very end, but no actual relationship.
The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson — High fantasy novel that begins the Masquerade series. The protagonist has a minor romance plot towards the very end of the novel.
The Way the Crow Flies by Ann-Marie MacDonald — Historical fiction novel. The protagonist has a very minor romance story as part of the frame narrative, outside of the primary plot line. Note, this is an extremely dark book.
