I am currently reading the Second Apocalypse series by Scott R Bakker but I would like something less intense, less heavy with philosophy and religion, preferably something that leaves you in the dark a bit.
Are there any fantasy books, preferably dark fantasy that read like Dark Souls or Elden Ring games and/or read like a game of D&D?

The Noble Dead series by Barb and JC Hendee reads like someone’s DnD campaign. The first book is Dhampir, which starts as scamming people by pretending to fight vampires, right up until the actual vampires show up
