There are lots of nice books out there which after you read them you remember them fondly. But there are also the books which you read and would love to forget completely out there.
My best example would be the book »Nothing« by Janne Teller. One of our teacher when I was in sixth or seventh grade or so suggested that we could buy the book and read it in class, then suddenly decided against it – after I already bought it. For years I had it lying around in my bookshelf, not reading it before I thought: well, why not, I hate letting books lying around which I haven't read. And… I absolutely hated it. It was probably the worst book I've ever read and I hated every second of it. Still I could recite you probably the whole plot and it is still pretty prominent when I have to think about books.
So, what are the books you still think about even you absolutely hated them / thought they were pretty bad? Or what was in general the worst book you've ever read? And if some of you have read it: what do you think about »Nothing«?

The book ‘Bolotnitsa’ Tatiana Mastryukova. The book is Russian if that. The moment when a schoolgirl pees in the woods and thinks about what a monster will do to her if he sees her without shorts. Like, what the hell is this?
The rating is 12+. It was awkward.

The People in the Trees, Hanya Yanagihara. It’s very well written and creative, but the subject matter is just horrible and I wish it didn’t live rent free in my head.
