Hi, I’m in the middle of reading a bunch of books that i mix and match depending on mood. They include Odyssey(English), East of Eden, Sons and Lovers(DH Lawrence) and the Bell Jar. These cater to different moods but almost all of them are slow and demanding books. I’d like some recommendations that are fast paced, easy to read and have an overall positive feeling or feeling of thrill and mystery. I have read song of Achilles, hunger games and think that they would fit the tone I’m looking for. I tried witcher and Dune but did not like them as I had watched the TV adaptations.
Tl;dr Looking for plot driven mystery/thriller/feel good.

If you like *The Song of Achilles*, I highly recommend Madeline Miller’s other book, *Circe*, if you haven’t read it already.
*The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo* by Steig Larsson was a really fast, compelling read to me, with a satisfying ending. It also has a bit of a creepy vibe, if you’re looking something for spooky season. (It’s also not nearly as long as it looks; if they used a normal-sized font with normal spacing, it would probably be under 350 pages.)
