I’m three years out from suddenly losing my husband. In Megan Devine’s “It’s Ok That You’re Not Ok,” on page 66, she mentions that, at the beginning of her loss, a lot of books talked about the new life, maybe marrying someone else, but essentially wasn’t targeted towards the beginning feelings of grief.
I’m looking for books that address the later stages of grief and building a new life. I’m newly engaged and having a lot of feelings about it, especially since the three year “anniversary” of losing my husband is coming up in 8 days.
Any recommendations? I’ve read The Year of Magical Thinking, and it’s not quite what I was looking for. I’m wanting more self help type books, very similar to Devine’s. Thanks!
