I'm looking for a well written love story where your heart aches when it ends. I don't care about smut/spice/sex (could have it or not) and I don't care if it's a happily ever after or ends in heartbreak. I want something that makes you sigh and fall in love with the characters yourself. I want my heart to ache with love and longing and engrossing scenes!

Cyrano De Bergerac, translated from a French play; about a multi-talented man held back by his fear of rejection
A Dirty Job, by Moore; a widower learns the consequences of ignoring his duties to his newborn daughter and the world at large
Mistborn book 4; a law man from the frontier is pulled back to the city by family duty
Komarr/A Civil Campaign duology; a married mother, in a patriarchal empire, deals with the consequences of choosing the wrong husband
Bridges of Madison County, maybe?
An Excess Of Love by Cathy Cash Spellman. Its set in Ireland and has one of the best love stories I have ever read. Also, The Far Pavilions by M. M. Kaye. The love story of a British officer and an Indian Rajkumari so epic!
Pack Up The Moon, Kristan Higgins. Absolutely heartbreaking and completely beautiful.
The Dictionary of Lost Words. It’s such a beautiful book.
