I'm looking for medieval fantasy books that focuses on poverty or homelessness, with a main character who stays poor or homeless for most of the story. I’d love to see their daily life and how they view the world, and how they view the rich, nobles and the powerful. Fiction or nonfiction is fine, and I’m open to any book, though I prefer it without the trope romance between a poor girl and rich prince stuff
For context, I enjoy books like Spice and Wolf, Mother of Learning, Everybody Loves Large Chests, and The Apothecary Diaries. Thanks!
