Have really been noticing how true that is over the last year. Have been fooled 3 or 4 times by an awesome cover with a crazy description on the back (the candy house, we had to remove this post, universal harvester for example) the first few pages suck you in and make you think it's exactly the type of book you want. Then it's hundreds of pages of something you didn't sign up for. Now, sadly, when I see books that (horror in paticular) look too good to be true I goodreads it first to see if the reviews confirm that yep this has absolutely nothing to do with the cover.
