I really enjoy T. Kingfisher’s writing. Specifically, I have read and enjoyed Nettle and Bone, A House with Good Bones, The Twisted Ones, and A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking. (I know she has more and intend to read them, but I prefer not to read the same author back-to-back too much because I’ll get burnt out on reading the same voice for so long.)
I like that they are fast paced, fun to read, and have just the right amount of spooky-creepy for me without being too dark or too gory.
I’d like suggestions for other authors with this vibe. Also, one thing I often find myself wishing about her books is that there was just a little bit more, as she tends to have quick, higher-level stories imo. I also love a good romantic subplot which is not as prevalent in her writing, too, so definitely open to suggestions with heavier romance.
Thanks in advance!
