I read this memoir and loved it. Started a couple of his novels but DNF’d.

I usually like well written, subliminal books that need to be chewed and digested. But may be his books are far too dense?

Any way, I want to give it another try and I have vacation coming up. Should I start with Victory City or should I start somewhere else? What’s your recommendation.

I like: Amor Towles, Lily King.

I try to avoid: laura dave, Emily Henry, Alex Michaelides

      Hear me out.

It’s YA, so it’s faster paced, and shorter than his usual, but it’s still very much a “Salman Rushdie book”. His wordplay is still there, his themes are still there, even his terrible jokes are still there, just slightly more digestible
