I recently read A Tale for the Time Being and was unusually drawn to the character of Jiko, who was an elderly Buddhist nun. I'm also a fan of Psalm for the Wild-Built.
I need more fiction examples of characters living a quiet, gentle, wise life. Do you have any recommendations?
