I’m looking for a narrative nonfiction book that also includes outside sources (academic research, etc.), any suggestions?
I'm trying to find a book that balances memoir with the author inserting a fair amount of objective outside sources. I'm not sure if what I'm explaining exists and appreciate any recommendations.

Take a look at “Dancing on Our Turtle’s Back: Stories of Nishnaabeg Re-Creation, Resurgence, and a New Emergence“ by Leanne Simpson: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10603398-dancing-on-our-turtle-s-back
