What are some good books about the making of a movie?
I read "Anything You Can Imagine" about the making of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and loved it. Are there any other books worth a read that are detailed accounts of the making of a film?
I highly recommend *The Disaster Artist* by Greg Sestero. Sestero is an actor and it’s his first hand account of the making of *The Room,* which is widely considered the best bad movie ever made.

The making of Nightmare Before Christmas book by Frank Thompson is excellent, especially if you like practical effects. There’s tons of concept art, both by Tim Burton and other artists, it goes into how Danny Elfman created the music, and there are a lot of pictures of people making the puppets and the sets. It just blows my mind at how much work goes into stop motion animation.
