For reference, I’m much pickier with my audiobooks than I am with physical books. However, when I like an audiobook, I tend to REALLY like it. Here are a few that I’ve enjoyed in audio:
1) The Divines – Ellie Eaton
2) The Ocean at the End of the Lane – Neil Gaiman
3) Our Wives Under the Sea – Julia Armfield
4) A Dowry of Blood – S.T. Gibson
Here are some of my most “un-put-downable” physical reads of 2023 so far:
1) I Who Have Never Known Men – Jacqueline Harpman
2) The Bear and the Nightingale – Katherine Arden
3) In the Dream House – Carmen Maria Machado
4) We Have Always Lived in the Castle – Shirley Jackson
Book suggestions with lots of hype are welcome here, but I just wanted to mention that I’m not a fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid, Colleen Hoover, or (most) Stephen King.
I’m so excited to see your most-readable audiobook faves! 🙂

World War Z, full cast recording. Audio book is the most perfect medium for the story as it’s a series of after action interviews.
The Lesser Dead – Christopher Buehlman
