Short as in anything under like 350 pages. I work late and read slow lol.
Indies are appreciated, but I'll take trad pub suggestions too.
Anything that you've read that genuinely made you jittery, not just while reading, but for like days or weeks. You'd check behind your shoulders, you get heart palps at the strange shadow but it's actually your plant. Stuff that gave you goosebumps and actually made you creeped out lol.

Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant. It’s about killer mermaids. Plus it’s a novella and only around 100 pages
