I am currently reading “The Wager”, and although it is non-fiction, it is told in a style that I enjoy.
One of my favorite books is: “A Land Remembered”.
I enjoy the familiarity of the historical touches, but also an adventurous story to go along with it (true or not).
I would include “Game Of Thrones” in this realm that I am trying to describe. (Based on the “truth” and familiarity of knights, kings, queens, and castles but also with the twist of Dragons and magic).
I read GOT before it was on TV, but I have trouble reading books if they are a movie or show that I have already seen. I prefer to create the character in my head as described by the author vs. having an actress or actor be that representation in my brain while reading.
