I thought of this whilst constantly dying and rising again in a Video Game. Can you suggest me books, where most things are the same as in real life, but some big general rules of nature (or otherwise) just don't apply and nobody questions it? For example, a thriller plot in a large city, but everybody who get's "killed" just get's back up again (like in a Video Game) and in that world that's just normal. Idk if I have explained this well, like, I am not looking for examples like "Twilight" or smth like that (not meant as a dig against Twilight). 😅

This is not the answer you want, but most science fiction involving space travel. Especially older sci-fi; I like Ray Bradbury as much as the next guy (probably more if I’m being honest), but we have some major breakthroughs to make before anybody is commuting daily back and forth from the moon.
books that follow game logic have a whole genre now called litRPG, I like Dakota Krout and Threadbare
if you don’t want litRPG, I am currently reading the new sequel to The Road To High Saffron, it takes place in a Britain where the people’s lives revolve around seeing color. Their jobs are chosen this way. Medicine is administered this way. And they are surrounded by dangers we’ve never heard of before
the book Early Riser takes place in a world where people hibernate, and their lives revolve around calorie intake
Jack Spratt Mysteries take place in a world where fiction characters from all sorts of genres can live side by side
Discworld is a fantasy world where things like cameras work by little demons painting pictures at super speed
Xanth is a version of Florida where puns are more important than logic
