I'm fairly new to fiction. I've ready maybe four fiction books in total. I am reading Kafka on the shore right now. Almost finished. I love this book. But in the end it does feel long. Still interesting af though. Before this I read TJ Klune's The house in the cerulean sea. It was ok I guess. Couldn't really connect.
So coming to lotr. I understand that it is long. 3 books doy!! Someone mentioned that the books were a drag. Should I go for it or should I build more long fiction muscle by read other books first? How does it feel to read lotr. At the book store they were selling 3 in 1(one giant book). Should I get that or look for a 3 book set?
