I’ve been wanting to read the fantasy genre for a while now, any book suggestions?

I'm preferably looking for child friendly fantasy books so I can read with my youngest cousin and have something we both like that isn't horror games.

Please note: I'm only part of the reason my youngest cousin likes the horror genre, the rest of the reason is her mom.
