Irene Iddesleigh by Amanda McKittrick Ros was famous for being horrible back when it was first published. That reputation is entirely deserved.

less than zero was deeply disturbing and so boring and just overall horrible – dk how anyone can recommend this – its clear that bret easton-ellis is deeply disturbed the fact he wrote this at 18 – and i jus wanna say like i will say his latest book the shards – is really amazing in many ways like he clearly can write good things – bur even so the shards left a bitter taste in my mouth for the ending – despite feeling so deeply connected to the main character and his feelings throughout – anyway this is just me ranting about bret easton-ellis messes witth your feelings – i havent even read american psycho but judging from the few minutes of the movie ive seen i suspect its equally disturbing – anyway byeee

I didn’t give it a fair shot in all honesty. I chucked it 25 pages in because it was horny adolescent drivel.

The pigeon by Patrick Süskind, I wanted to burn it after 20 pages but pulled through and just hated it because the main character is so annoying
