My girlfriend was discussing [‘The Only Good Indians’ by Stephen Graham on her new booktube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkAQ_vZvPF0). She brought up the point that some of the best recent scary movies (Candyman, Invisible Man, Smile, Get Out) use horror to provide social commentary. Thinking about it I found it much more difficult to find examples for books – is this trend also found in books? What are sort of the best in that realm?
