bonus points if they’re super thrilling and not super predictable! I know about Agatha Christie of course, so looking for other suggestions or maybe more modern authors but i’m quite open!
I read a lot of thrillers, but none that I have read have that classic “whodunit” feel.

“The 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn hardcastle”might fit the bill
Only One Left by Riley Sager. Twisty whodunit. Not going to rock you to your core, but the ending definitely surprised me.
Anything by DeAnna Reybourn, although you’ve got to be into the historical fiction part of it as well. I love her work, especially the Veronica Speedwell mysteries which are my favorite series.

The Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley
