Suggest me a book where a character is a failure and who completely screwed his/her life up.
I want a book about a person who is marginal, isolated from everyone, who has a bad character and lives a miserable life and somehow didn't commit suicide yet(or does in the end).
The Guest by Emma Cline is a great book about a horrible character who slowly screws her life up as the novel goes on.

“Strange Sally Diamond” is pretty bleak and has one of these characters.

Confessions Of A D-List Supervillain may count. Its prequel Origins shows how the main character made a few unfortunate decisions which combined with being used as an object lesson for others to cement him into the role of a villain. Confessions has him (temporarially) aiding the Heroes in preventing a Hive-mind conquest of Earth, but his career ends somewhat… explosively.

A word child by Iris Murdoch. It’s a pretty literary kind of read but boy it’s bleak for the MC.
