Whew! I read the 1st book a month before it's Netflix release. I didn't expect much regarding this novel, as I learned about through booktok.

I was so surprised that I was engaged by the first few pages! I love how there are little photo snippets like maps, notes, diary entries, etc. It might be a small thing but I love the details it added to my imagination. There are twists and turns at every chapter, which made me hungry for more and actually finish the book in a matter of few hours.

Reading through the reviews of this book, it was actually tagged as a "Children's Fiction Book Winner of the Year" but even older readers like me can truly enjoy it. Read this if you are disappointed by Frda McF*en's writing 🤐 Holly Jackson is a must read for thriller and mystery beginners for sure 🙂

Aww, there are photos and stuff in the print books? I listened to the audiobook a few months ago, and I didn’t get any of that! Maybe I’ll have to actually read the other two. I still really enjoyed the book, and yes, it was light years better than Frieda McFadden!

I love when books have little images or maps to help fuel your understanding or imagination!! A good book i’ve read like that was in French and i believe it was called “le journal de Caroline”, I truly hope there’s an English version for you to explore

Omg the book was so good i read the entire series in 4-5 days and i would give anything to read it for the first time

    6. The first book was fun, but it was all downhill after the first one imo. I only finished them for a book club with a friend (who didn’t even finish them lol).

This series was actually wild. During the last half of each book, my Apple Watch was sending me ‘high heart rate’ notifications like crazy, it sent my anxiety so high lol

I’m well outside of the target age for YA, but I really enjoyed A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder. (And Ravi is just the sweetest 🥰). I didn’t care for the third book, but it was a good series regardless. I’ll be checking out the Netflix series.
