Like many people, I am infuriated by such a moment in books when there is a character who is infuriating, but the author exposes him as a positive hero. It just doesn't fit in my head, that is, what must be going on in the author's head to think about such a hero.

For example, most romance novels. Well, you know the authors of such books: Penelope Douglas, Anna Todd and Colleen Hoover. Honestly, it seems like their books were written by incels who write under women's names, because I can't think that women like being treated like a rag to wipe themselves with.

I will give examples from one book by each author:

    "November 9th" Colleen Hoover

A love interest set fire to her, which caused the heroine to get very serious burns all over her body and she can no longer fulfill her dream, then he says that burns make her beautiful and they do not need to be hidden, then he harasses the heroine. But he had an injury, which is why he can be forgiven.

    "Credence" Penelopa Douglas

The love interest almost rapes the heroine in the guts of a deer. But he has an injury and he can be forgiven.

    "After" Anna Todd

The love interest shows everyone the underwear with a red stain, so as to say that he took the virginity of the main character. And he tries to control the heroine's life. But he has an injury and he can be forgiven.

Boring empty characters, which, according to the author, we should get into, but they are so boring, so devoid of individuality that we want to yawn. For example, the heroine of Divergent. She's so bad that I don't even remember her name. Seriously, her whole peculiarity is that she is ordinary.
