I’m looking for some non-english contemporary detective books with a good plot and interesting main character (preferably a female). It could be a standalone or part of a series. From **any** country, but english speaking ones.
I liked Stieg Larsson’s and Jo Nesbø’s work.

Leena Lehtolainen’s Maria Kallio series (translated to English). Viveca Sten has the Sandhamn Murders series, as well as The Åre Murders.
