I’m looking to compile a final book list for myself that encompasses both fiction and non-fiction in any genres.
I want the books to be phenomenal, must-reads, cool as hell. I’m 48 so assuming I live to the average life expectancy of 74 for a UK male, leaves me 26 years. Then assuming I can read 1 book per week, that gives me 1,352 book left in my lifetime.
I don’t want to waste time, so I’m going to create a list now, and hopefully it will take me to my deathbed.
Here is a very short list of the books I’ve loved over the years, which I consider “cool”:
**”Perfume” by Patrick Susskind**
**”Nickel and Dimed” by Barbara Ehrenreich**
**”Z for Zachariah” by Robert C. O’Brien**
**”The Stars my Destination” by Alfred Bester**
**”Imajica” by Clive Barker.**
**”The Stand” by Stephen King**
**”The Brothers Karamazov” by Fydor Dostoyevsky**
**”The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by Daniel Wroblowski**
**”Black Hawk Down” by Mark Bowden**
**”Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer**
**”Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens.**

etc.
I saw the Rory Gilmore reading challenge online and it looked very cool. I’d like to get similar lists together and then I’ll make a super-list and (hopefully) stick to it
