Hi everyone. I’m currently reading /finishing “Catherine the Great” by Robert Massie, and I realise how much I love this author and his work!He doesn’t write dry biographies where he says ” on that day, that happened etc”, but absolute page-turners, I’ve read the other two biographies of the Romanov’s trilogy (Peter the Great and Nicholas and Alexandra, and I feel sorry that there’s no more to read. Can you suggest any history/biography writers like Robert Massie whose books are so vivid and encaging?

If you enjoy the Russian history aspect of Massie’s biographies, try Simon Sebag Montefiore. He has several books on Russian history including some biographies.
