I just finished this book earlier today and I don’t have anyone I can talk about it with which is driving me nuts!
I definitely enjoyed it, I’m really a LOT of thrillers at the minute and they’re all in a similar vein so if anyone has any recs please go ahead and let me know, I’d give this one four stars probably.
Anyway this is the spoiler bit so if you think you might read it (I would recommend it) turn back now. At the end Josie suggests this whole alternate set of events where she’s actually not as much of a villain, where Roxie killed Brooke. And I know she’s unreliable and it’s probably just out there to sow seeds of doubt, but I think I like that ending the best. Like, her husband really is a paedophile, and I didn’t like how they made it like he wasn’t that bad and he was seduced by a 15 year old. In Josie’s version of events, she is still obviously a complicated person, and it doesn’t absolve her, but I like that she isn’t the only/really big villain, and it’s more complicated.
Just wondering what other people thought of it and whether they thought that could have happens or if it is just Josie being mad.
