I love when I learn something new about that makes me go "woah, cool!" But I don't really have any science knowledge. I took biology in high school and did well, but that was the last science class I took, and at this point that was half my life ago. I don't have a science background. But I love learning about how the world works, evolution, atoms, molecules, genetics, etc.

Can anyone suggest me a book that has science content but is written for lay people? Or science books that start out reeeeeally basic and then build up to a higher level of complexity? I like reading and I can get over the hump of reading something difficult to understand, but I would need a lot of scaffolding for science stuff because my baseline knowledge is so low.

    TIA!

    1. Sapiens A Brief History of Humankind, by Yuval Noah Harari might be a good start!
