Often, we gain valuable insights from fiction, like hard sci-fi, that we don't get from even well-written non-fiction books. I'm not looking for popular suggestions like Sapiens. Instead, I'm seeking unique and interesting recommendations.

“How to be an Anti-Racist” by Ibram X Kendi. Maybe this is a well-known book but it sure opened my eyes.
The only investment guide you’ll ever need by andrew tobias. Investment advice for people who’d rather go to the dentist than get investment advice. You can read it in an afternoon. I did, took his advice and retired at 50.
